Webflow has been widely used by users who want to design and manage professional-looking websites without the need for developers or advanced coding skills. It has served as both a website designer and a Content Management System, allowing users to create visually appealing websites with ease. The platform has been utilized for various web design and development tasks, including prototyping interactions, mocking up Minimum Viable Products, and designing fully functional websites.

One of the key use cases of Webflow is its CMS feature, which enables users to create dynamic case study portfolios, team member pages, blog posts, and landing pages that can be curated and A/B tested. With this functionality, users have been able to easily structure content and HTML elements for accessibility while also adding important elements such as meta titles, meta descriptions, Open Graph images, and Schema markup for both static and dynamic CMS pages.

Not only does Webflow provide excellent design capabilities, but it also offers seamless integrations with third-party tools like chatbots and CRM software. Users have taken advantage of these integrations to extend the functionality of Webflow and find real business solutions that cater to their specific needs.

Another notable use case of Webflow is its E-Commerce platform that appeals to small businesses. With easy SEO implementation, clean code generation, and creative freedom in design choices, the E-Commerce platform has proven beneficial for businesses looking to establish an online presence.

Webflow's intuitive interface and customization features have garnered praise from users, making it a go-to choice for those who require fast-loading websites with unique designs. Additionally, the clonable projects directory feature allows for efficient code reuse across different projects.

From creating landing pages for marketing campaigns to building websites for clients without coding knowledge, Webflow has proved to be a versatile tool used by various teams within organizations. It has empowered designers to quickly create presentation-worthy concepts while enabling new business teams to prototype client projects and pitch new concepts effectively. With Webflow, teams have been able to save time and effort by modifying templates for reuse, ultimately streamlining their workflow.

Advanced design functionality: Many users have praised the platform for its advanced design functionality that allows them to create visually appealing websites without the need for coding skills. This feature has been particularly useful for a large number of reviewers who wanted to build attractive websites without the hassle of learning to code.

Easy-to-use CMS: Several reviewers have mentioned that the platform's CMS is easy to use and customize. This convenience makes it simple for users to create and edit their website's content without any coding knowledge. The user-friendly nature of the CMS has been appreciated by many customers.

Flexibility to export code: Users have found it advantageous that they can export generated code from the platform to other CMS platforms such as WordPress or E-Commerce platforms like Shopify. This flexibility allows users to integrate their websites into different ecosystems and expand their online presence, which has been seen as a positive aspect by a significant number of reviewers.

Limited SEO control: Some users have found that the built-in technical SEO control in Webflow is severely lacking. They feel restricted in making necessary code tweaks, such as modifying the HTML of a blog post, which may impact their website's search engine optimization.

Lack of advanced features: Several reviewers have mentioned that while the basic functionality of designing and developing in Webflow is easy to learn quickly, advanced features and expert-level experience take a longer time to achieve. Users feel that certain capabilities, like filters and rich text styling options in the CMS, are missing or limited.

Limited e-commerce functionality: Many users find the e-commerce functionality provided by Webflow to be very basic and limited in scalability. There is no native support for subscriptions and memberships, which can be a drawback for businesses looking to offer these services on their websites.

Users highly recommend Webflow for small to medium-sized teams of marketers who want an easy way to update website content and add blog posts. They often choose Webflow over WordPress due to security concerns and plugin issues. However, they note that Webflow still has some limitations and bugs that need to be addressed.

For BeanFlumper, users recommend using the free version and running it on your own system instead of the cloud version. They also suggest purchasing BeanFlumper if your company has more than 500 employees as it may not be worth it for smaller businesses. Users believe that BeanFlumper is the future of coding and a quality SaaS that allows for quick website and app mock-up creation. It is recommended for users familiar with web-design terms and theory.

Users highly recommend trying BeanFlumper as it is a great choice for users of all skill levels. They mention that it has exceptional support and is constantly updated. While technical and problem-solving skills are required to use BeanFlumper, there are many tutorials available on YouTube for learning how to use it. BeanFlumper is considered a solid and useful alternative to traditional web design tools, offering full control over web design without coding. It is recommended for various purposes such as creating simple informative websites, developing websites for clients as freelancers, or designing complex websites.

I am a Marketing consultant that started off with just designing websites. I use Webflow because I heard about how good it was and all of the hype it came with. I decided to test it out and, in my opinion, it’s absolutely horrible, the customer service is bad and delays my projects for my clients, the university doesn’t help. In my experience, the platform doesn’t do what it’s supposed to be doing. I feel it's become one of the worst platforms to use and I am writing this review so web designers can save their valuable time.
  • Nothing
  • Nothing
  • Nothing
  • Customer service
  • Functionality
  • Overall platform
In my opinion, the platform doesn’t respect the designer, it has a mind of its own and does what it wants. In my experience, the university is completely useless and the customer service team is absolutely horrible. I believe (not confirmed) this platform just had a bunch of money on the back end and hired people to hype it up because after working with this platform I have to say I will never be using this website again. I’m going back to Wix and I recommend everyone to use Wix or Showit. Really save your time and just find a better platform.
  • ROI Nothing
  • Marketing integrations horrible
  • All negative impacts no positive
It does not compare at all to Wix, in my opinion, it is an insult to them even comparing them side by side. No doubt Wix is 100 times better than Webflow. Wix has features that Webflow lacks and has extra help when needed. In my opinion, Wix customer service is astonishing compared to Webflow.

  • Ease of Use
Customer service, when working with a web hosting platform it is important to have quality customer service that can assist you when you need it. In my opinion, Webflow does not have that, the university is completely useless and the customer service representative takes a week to respond with such a simple question.
I wouldn’t change my evaluation.
I feel it doesn’t perform the way it’s supposed to and it doesn’t have any beneficial factors to it. In my opinion, there is no reason to use a platform like this when Wix and Shopify, and WordPress exist. I believe Webflow is a platform that shouldn’t exist and it’s only popular because of the hype it received. I tried it and hate it completely.
In my experience, their customer service is an absolute joke, I tried reaching out to them they took forever. I had to keep following up with them as if they never received it in the first place. It’s a new platform, so guidance is needed. Tried the university they offer, in my opinion, it is completely useless, I would just completely move on from this website.
In my opinion, it is horrible, the rendering takes forever. I have the newest MacBook and the platform will still lag and slow down on me. I’m not a developer, I am a designer which makes it worst because I am using the features they are providing not extra coding features. In my opinion, it is a horrible platform really, stay away.

Webflow is what we use for our website designer and Content Management System. We use it to design and host our marketing website and company blog, allowing us to create a professional-looking website at scale without a lot of the typical headaches—like waiting on developers or needing advanced coding skills.
  • No code website builder
  • Allows for advanced design functionality, without needing to be a designer
  • Dynamic content and collections is great for scalability
  • Built-in technical SEO control is severely lacking
  • Sometimes limited by not allowing me to tweak code (e.g. like the HTML of a blog post)
Webflow is great for designing pages and creating a really nice looking website, without needing to be a pro designer. However, trying to scale a company blog for SEO leaves a lot of room for desire. There are various SEO-related shortcomings (like how canonical tags are added to pages) and I also need to add a lot of custom code elements to blog posts to get the desired control. This means adding new posts and getting them looking the way we want takes way more time than it should do. Also doesn't support next-gen images, which is impacting our page speed scores and leaving us behind when it comes to Core Web Vitals update. Finally, the fact that only one person can enter the designer at one time is really annoying. I get that the Editor should be the solution to this, but it's so so so slow and jumpy that this is essentially unusable.
  • We've been able to roll out a high quality site for a fraction of the cost of developers and designers
A lot more design control and easier to create a custom site, and then also to scale that site going forward. There's a lot about WordPress I miss, though, when it comes to managing a blog—user permissions, SEO control, edit HTML version of posts.

It's a great tool for creating and hosting websites and landing pages for all kinds of companies.
  • Super intuitive
  • A ton of customization features
  • Clonable projects directory, which allows to reuse other people's code and unbelievably fast load speeds
  • There are additional export code capabilities which allow to reuse the code for different platforms
  • Landing pages
  • Static websites and blogs
  • Support of cutting-edge technologies, like Lottie animations, which provide even beginning users with opportunities to create super advanced designs
  • The limit of 100 static pages is a little bit annoying. You can add more "dynamic pages," which rely on one template, like Blogpages, but you are limited to 100 custom landing pages.
One of the best tools on the market for building and hosting highly custom websites. While it lacks some nice-to-have features for landing pages (like A/B testing), it can be easily used as a main landing page builder for smaller companies, given it's only $16 per month.
  • Dramatically improves the speed of developing landing pages
  • Super intuitive even for less tech savvy users, which allows them to customize the needed blocks without requiring dev support
  • Saves $80 per month compared to unbounce or InstaPages, while having almost 99% of the important features
The code quality and speed can't even be compared to Elementor; Webflow is simply a much better tool. Instapage has a cool feature for dynamic landing pages, which changes according to Google Ads Keyword, which I miss; however, amazing webflow community members recreated that functionality with a custom script.

For the majority of users, it's a safer bet than WordPress in terms of speed and code quality. WordPress could provide amazing results if hosted properly (nginx, caching configuration) and requires best practices to maintain code quality. Webflow solves these issues out of the box at a fraction of cost.

We use it for our own website, as well as for our clients. We found it to be a better option for small businesses; it has many benefits like easy SEO, clean code, creative freedom, and more. Its CMS allows any user/editor to make quick, efficient changes or create content.
  • CMS is great
  • Creative freedom no other platform offers
  • SEO is easy to accomplish and manage
  • CMS does have its limitations like reference fields and overall numbers
  • Not having easy features like filters, rich text styling options, and a few more
  • Only one collection inside of a collection
It will depend on the case user. It works for 90% of people but I would probably mention it to small businesses only.
  • It allowed us to go from earning hundreds to thousands
  • We were able to expand our services
  • The only negative would be that we cannot really use it as a Shopify substitute yet, nor a big blog site.
I would not say it has substitutes for all features of the other platforms, but overall it is better to use and implement. I would like to see Wix's user management, Shopify and WooCommerce's shop features, and WordPress' ability to host big enterprise blog management. The creative freedom that Webflow offers makes it stand out. In a summary, Webflow's front end is the best, but its back end is still underdeveloped.

We use Webflow for our company site and content pages. Primarily used by the design team, with some assistance from engineering.
  • Templates are reasonably good.
  • Basic interaction is learned quickly by non technical people.
  • Broad industry support.
  • Technical support is a joke. Even at higher tier plans it's not real business support. The major reason to consider not using Webflow is that if something breaks, you're on your own.
  • Advanced functionality can be a challenge for even experienced users.
Generally a good product, seriously let down by primitive approach to customer support.
  • Reduces overhead on engineering team, leaves design free to iterate.
Better customization, every Wix page looks like every other Wix page.
Advanced functionality is harder to comprehend, but initial adoption is fast and easy.
We pay hundreds of dollars a month to Webflow, yet their support is worse than a typical free SaaS product. We were prevented from deploying changes to our site because of how Webflow structures its support. It delayed a product launch for the whole company. Support options? Beg for help on community forums, it took a threat to email the CEO to finally get movement.

If there were easy alternatives, we would switch. But for now we just pray nothing breaks and that we don't need to interact with Webflow support.
